Kincore proudly supports the projects and non-profit organizations listed below.
The Community Foundation of Greater Kingston encourages charitable giving by people who want to leave a lasting legacy to their community. The Foundation is a collection of individual funds established by local citizens and held in perpetuity to enhance the quality of life in our community. It is a public charity, registered with Revenue Canada, that allows individuals, families, businesses, private foundations and non-profit organizations, through gifts and bequests, to establish permanent endowments under the umbrella of one large foundation. The income from these separate funds can help the community respond to today's problems and meet the emerging needs and opportunities of the future.
In partnership with the Davies Foundation, Kincore is pleased to offer subsidized space for the Community Foundation's new head office. Over time, we believe that our investment "in kind" will help the Foundation direct more resources to projects that impact our community and less to the day-to-day expenses of running an office.
The Agnes Etherington Art Centre's mandate is to collect works of art in public trust and to present a thoughtful program of public exhibitions and interpretive events. In the words of Mrs. Agnes Etherington, the founder, the Centre seeks "to further the cause of art in the community"
In recognition of the value of the Market Square project to our community, we have made a substantial financial contribution and offered up the efforts of our President, Kim Donovan.
Kincore embraces the mission statement of the Kingston United Way: "To support and strengthen the organized capacity of our community to care for one another." Therefore, we financially assist the United Way, both corporately and with a "matching funds program" that acknowledges the contributions of our employees. Kim Donovan, Kincore’s President, sat as Campaign Chair, 2005.
Hospice Kingston is the leader in palliative care in our community and strives to build partnerships in order to better these services.
Kincore has offered both financial support and our President's time and efforts as a Hospice Kingston board member.
The Downtown Kingston! Business Improvement Area is an association of 750 businesses located in Kingston’s core commercial area. The organization's mission is to promote Downtown Kingston! as a vibrant and healthy commercial, retail, residential and entertainment centre – a place for people to live, shop, work and gather.
The Grand Theatre is Kingston’s premiere arts and culture venue. The “Let’s Make Her Grand Again” community campaign will restore the theatre’s lustre and elegance, both inside and out. The Grand’s facelift will bring a blazing new marquee, more comfortable seats, improved acoustics and reinstalled box seats. The goal is to provide a state-of-the-art performance venue for artists and a luxurious experience for theatre goers. Kincore is a proud contributor to this “Grand Effort”!
Kincore is a member company of the Kingston Chamber of Commerce and actively seeks business partners from its membership.
